Episode 1 - Talking Music Business with Leo "The Lion" DJ Leo "The Lion"
There comes a moment in every believer’s journey when the noise of the world becomes too loud, the burdens too heavy, and the path forward too dim to see clearly. In those moments, we are reminded of the deep need for a strong, unwavering foundation in Jesus Christ. Without Him, we are like houses built on sand—vulnerable to every wind and wave. But when we put our faith in Jesus and anchor our hearts to the love of our Abba Father, we find peace, clarity, and purpose.
1. Building a Strong Relationship with Abba Father through Jesus
To have a relationship with Abba, God the Father, we must first come through the Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus is not only the way, but also the truth and the life (John 14:6). He is our gateway to intimacy with the Father. Faith in Him isn’t just belief—it’s trust, surrender, and alignment with His ways.
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” – Matthew 7:24
Jesus is that rock. He is the foundation we must build on, especially when life shakes us. When we build our spiritual lives on Him, storms may come, but they won’t destroy us. It’s not about avoiding trials, but being rooted deeply enough in Christ to withstand them.
Abba Father desires a relationship with us. Not a transactional one based on performance, but a personal one built on love. He wants to walk with us like He did with Adam in the garden. Through Jesus, that fellowship has been restored.
2. Changing Our Mindset: From Wants to Possibilities
To truly walk in alignment with God’s will, we must undergo a transformation—not just of our circumstances, but of our mindset. Romans 12:2 tells us, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.“
Too often our prayers, thoughts, and energy are focused on what we want—material things, status, approval, or temporary relief. But God calls us higher. He invites us into possibility—into the unseen realms of faith where miracles happen, where peace surpasses understanding, and where joy becomes our strength even in sorrow.
Renewing our minds means we stop thinking like the world and start thinking like citizens of the Kingdom. We begin to see ourselves not as limited beings defined by our past or our pain, but as beloved children of God, filled with potential because of who He is in us.
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” – Colossians 3:2
When we embrace this Kingdom mindset, our faith grows. Our vision expands. We stop asking, “What can I get?” and start asking, “What can God do through me?”
3. Prayers of Gratitude, Thanksgiving, and Praise
Prayer is not just a request list—it is a relationship-building conversation with God. And one of the most powerful forms of prayer is gratitude. When we come before God with thanksgiving and praise, we align our hearts with His goodness.
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” – Psalm 100:4
Gratitude changes us. It reminds us of all that God has already done, and builds faith for what He will do. When we begin each day thanking God for His mercy, His presence, and His promises, we invite His joy to fill our hearts.
Praise lifts our eyes off our problems and fixes them on our Provider. Even in hardship, praising God releases strength into our spirits. Paul and Silas praised God in prison—and the chains fell off (Acts 16:25-26). Your praise is powerful. It shifts atmospheres.
4. Focusing on the Word for Strength and Confidence
The world offers many voices—some loud, some subtle—but none as life-giving as the voice of God through His Word. Scripture is more than a book; it is the living, breathing word of God. It teaches, corrects, strengthens, and encourages.
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” – Psalm 119:105
When we immerse ourselves in the Bible, we are filled with divine wisdom. We begin to understand the character of God, the power of His promises, and the purpose of our trials. The Word becomes our compass when we’re lost, our comfort when we’re hurting, and our sword when we’re under attack.
Confidence doesn’t come from how prepared we feel, but from how deeply we trust the One who calls us. And faith comes by hearing—and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). The more we meditate on Scripture, the more our spirits are built up, and the more we walk in holy boldness.
5. Letting Love Lead Our Actions
God is love. And if we claim to follow Him, then love must be the evidence of our faith. Not just love in words, but in action.
“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” – 1 John 3:18
Jesus summarized the entire law in two commands: Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:30-31). Everything we do should flow from love. The way we treat strangers, forgive enemies, serve others, and respond to injustice should reflect the love of Christ.
This kind of love is not always easy. It requires sacrifice, humility, and grace. But it is the greatest testimony we can offer the world. Jesus said, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:35
We live in a world desperate for love—not the conditional love that fades, but the unconditional, life-giving love of God. As His representatives, our mission is to be His hands and feet, bringing hope where there is despair, kindness where there is cruelty, and light where there is darkness.
Conclusion: Becoming Anchored in Him
Putting our faith in Jesus is more than a one-time decision—it is a daily devotion. It is choosing to build our lives on His truth, to renew our minds with His Word, to pray with hearts full of gratitude, and to act with selfless love.
When we live this way, we become unshakable—not because life is perfect, but because our foundation is. Jesus never promised a life without trouble, but He promised that He had overcome the world (John 16:33). And in Him, so will we.
Let today be the day you recommit your heart to Him. Let it be the day you choose faith over fear, gratitude over complaining, and love over apathy. The journey may not always be easy, but it will always be worth it—because with Jesus, you are never walking alone.
